Malaria The Savannah Africa is located 6000 feet above sea level so there is no malaria present. Inoculations No shots or inoculations are required to visit The Savannah Africa Medical Emergencies In the event of a medical emergency, physicians, dentists and other medical personnel are on call for the duration of your visit. All on-site activities are supervised by qualified personnel. Game drives and hikes are led by expert rangers equipped with portable radios. Off site activities are usually undertaken in the company of a staff member. Guests are discouraged from walking the Preserve without a guide. The animals on the Preserve are wild animals and must be treated as such, and viewed from the safety of a vehicle. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter of safety.
