For the adventurous you can venture onto one of the unspoiled islands in the center of the mighty Vaal River, which forms the northern boundary of the property.

The only way to access these islands is by boat.

This is an ideal place to become acquainted with riverine animals such as the Goliath Heron or the resident Fish Eagles and the giant Liquana's.

An overnight campout can be organized for the truly brave - as there is no electricity or hot water - just so the city slickers know!

If you are not that adventurous, enjoy a picnic lunch - after paddling there and watch the birds and fish!
